The Happy Hot Dog Hotel is run by humans; Suzanne & Ray Lythgow, supported by Freja and Izzac who have been owned by Dachshunds since 2012. We have three sausages; Dexter and Dixie our beautiful Standard Black & Tan Dachshunds and Reggie a very cheeky and raucous Miniature Red, who was rehomed into our family through the fabulous Dachshund Rescue UK charity.
Our guests become part of the family and live within the pack in the family home. There is always a member of The Happy Hot Dog Hotel Team at home. We ensure the resident sausages aren’t left alone for any period of time, which in turns means that all of our guest sausages benefit from human contact throughout their stay.

The Happy Hot Dog Hotel is licensed by Harrogate Borough Council; LN/C23/00397/ANBRD. We are insured, Ofqual Level 3 Professional Daycare and Boarding qualified and canine first aid trained. Our licence allows us to provide home boarding in addition to our own Dachshunds. The Happy Hot Dog Hotel are members of Dog Professionals UK.
